This is my 6th season with the Highlanders and 5th as President. I have coached soccer, baseball & football for more than 25 years. I've also served a local chapter of boy/cub scouts as Den Leader, Cub Master & Committee Chair at various times. Additionally, I currently serve on a private school board as treasurer and co-treasurer for the CCYFL, our football league.
I am a licensed general contractor and own a remodeling company.
This will be my daughters last year cheering in the program, and my son hopes to start playing football for Fresno Christian HS this fall. I enjoy working with and mentoring the kids in my community.
I consider myself fortunate to have both a football player and cheerleader enrolled as Highlanders. We are in our 2nd season and we are excited by what this new year brings. I have always had a love for the game and a passion for helping children grow and have fun. My goal this season is to encourage parents to get involved and help all of our athletes get all they can from our program.
This is my 4th year with the Highlanders Youth Football & Cheer program. My first 2 seasons, I served as a coach and the past 2 years as VP of Football Operations. I have been employed for the past 10 years at Easterby Elementary School as a Para - Professional RSP Assistant, a Noontime Assistant and the Haed Coach of all boys' sports programs. I also volunteer as an usher in my church and a Sunday School Teacher for 5th & 6th grades.
I believe the role sports plays in a student athlete's life builds character, integrity and sportsmanship. These qualities are not just taught for the game, but they carry into the classrooms and life in general.
This is my 4th season with the Highlanders as Head Cheer Coach and 3rd as a Board Member. I have coached youth cheer for 10 years and in that time I have been blessed to watch many of my youth cheerleaders move on to cheer in high school. I have no children in the program but I consider every cheerleader a part of my family. My goal for the upcoming season, as it is every season, is to help my cheerleaders become responsible and amazing athletes with positive attitudes not only for cheer, but everyday life as well.
We are always looking for an energetic, outgoing and giving person that is interested in helping our program deliver exceptional service to the children in our community! Ask us how!
